Before visiting the various Matrix pairings, review the instructions and background information below. Within each of the combinations, I explore the relationship dynamics of each type with every other type, placing an emphasis on the circle of conflict that naturally occurs between the types and how this circle can lead to relationship distress and disruption. I present how each type can support each other to create a relationship that flourishes rather than flounders. When these three facets are adopted, it virtually guarantees that the relationship will thrive. Guidelines To begin with, each of us is unique. No one of us expresses the range of concerns and aptitudes characterized by our type in exactly the same way.

Passions et fixations. Les différents auteurs de l’ennéagramme des personnalités associent à chaque ennéatype une fixation egotique, ainsi qu’une «passion», c’est-à-dire une tendance principale à laquelle chaque type est confronté.
Personality theories and models – introduction Behavioural and personality models are widely used in organisations, especially in psychometrics and psychometric testing personality assessments and tests. Behavioural and personality models have also been used by philosophers, leaders and managers for hundreds and in some cases thousands of years as an aid to understanding, explaining, and managing communications and relationships.
Used appropriately, psychometrics and personality tests can be hugely beneficial in improving knowledge of self and other people – motivations, strengths, weaknesses, preferred thinking and working styles, and also strengths and preferred styles for communications, learning, management, being managed, and team-working. Understanding personality – of your self and others – is central to motivation.
Different people have different strengths and needs. The more you understand about personality, the better able you are to judge what motivates people – and yourself. The more you understand about your own personality and that of other people, the better able you are to realise how others perceive you, and how they react to your own personality and style. Knowing how to adapt the way you work with others, how you communicate, provide information and learning, how you identify and agree tasks, are the main factors enabling successfully managing and motivating others – and yourself.
Importantly you do not necessarily need to use a psychometrics instrument in order to understand the theory and the basic model which underpins it.

I can’t even begin to convey how good it feels to see others talking about the same re occuring problems that I have. Many of my relationships start out beautifully, and can be very insightful and wonderful for some time.. Only the 2 and the 6 actually. I have often struggled to get my needs met, and I know part of this is learning to detach from my feelings and embrace reality more, but it is definately one of the greatest struggles of my life.
I have these problems also, but only if I am really invested in the relationship. It’s hard to get me invested, and so prior to that I show signs of my 5 wing, which is an unwillingness to give up independence, easily feeling suffocated, and resistance to opening up emotionally. I also have issues on the other side of the 4 coin which is selecting unavailable people to fantasize about because it’s safer than a real relationship.
I don’t seem to have jealousy or drama issues, but being too idealistic, too easily disappointed, and withholding can be problems for me. Being emotionally volatile for me is relative.

Type 2 Type 2 dating a Type 4 with a lot of questions! My name is Nick, and I just recently took the Enneangram test and scored a Type 2 with a wing of a 3. I’m so glad that I’ve found a forum of people who are also Type 2’s that can relate to the things I’ve been feeling. I basically wanted to find a place to vent and seek the advice from other Type 2’s, to hear your stories, etc. I’ve been dating my girlfriend for over a year now and for the most part, it’s been great.
She is a Type 4 it’s nice to be able to accurately label her personality by just saying “Type 4” haha. My mind is always racing and always pondering ideas no matter how far fetched they may be and I think I suffer from anxiety. Do many of you Type 2’s struggle with anxiety? I also struggle with the lack of appreciation from her in the most basic form.

They think I’m interesting, funny, smart. I think they’re cool. I have deep conversations very quickly. The person and I seem to click. We hang around each other often. I think we can all fill in the rest – end result is, the person avoids me the best they can and our entire connection disappears. I’m just so tired of this shit.
A part of me hates being the kind of person that has unrealistic expectations of humans and their capacity for empathy. Another part of me just hates people and can’t help it. I hate that I can’t receive any emotional attention because I’m not female. I hate that I have to put the effort in to be “likeable” or “funny” before anyone gives two shits what happens to me. There’s no middle ground.
I hate others and I hate myself and I hate this. I want to be weak and vulnerable and still have people care for longer than 2 minutes.

These uncommon jewels of the personality spectrum make up less than one percent of the population. This is not surprising considering how few of them there are. This led me to do some research on these unique little snowflake personalities. What I discovered was both fascinating and inspiring. Who knows, you might just be one of them. To most friends and acquaintances, the INFJ type seems very sociable and extroverted. This can cause confusion when INFJs become overwhelmed and must withdraw from people.
