Luckily, I eventually found a lot of new friends on Destiny and we would raid regularly but sometimes it can be difficult to find friends to do activities in Destiny with and this is why I think Destiny 2 should have raid matchmaking or something that makes it easier for people to get into raiding. Whilst adding in matchmaking to raids would probably be fairly straight forward for Bungie to do, there is undoubtedly several disadvantages to a fully matchmade raid.

TC is upset because he wants this game to be percent casual it seems. Not trying to start a flame war but if you could just do the end game content with randoms its casual. Why is it so bad if it’s casual and someone else can experience the same content? Is it just because the hardcore need their ego stroke? We had that debate for years on WoW and I have been hard ore for years in that game, but at one point I decided no more and I realized that it was dumb to lock content from the casual just so the hardcore can feel validated.
The solution I proposed in one of my earlier post with tokens could work. I don’t think the problem is the Marks Raids I’m pretty sure give Vanguard marks which you can also get from bounties etc but rather the Exotic gear best gear in game is it not. But as I suggested, if you have a casual which would still be hard vs extreme hardcore mode they could give marks by bosses for casual and for extreme.
But of course developers don’t like marks, you need to have crappy loot tables so people do it for months before getting the gear they want because if they do get everything they want, they will just stop playing, thus the carrot on the stick, as with marks you could pick exactly what you want. Or the raids could give cooler skins with very similar stats as non raids or casual vs extreme raids.
